airport is located just over 20 miles to the north east
of the city of Munich near the town of Freising. The airport
is relatively modern having opened in 1992 and is named
after the German politician, Franz Josef Strauss. Munich
Airport's two modern terminals are elongated constructions
which are aligned back to back either side of a central
facilities area. This area between them provides space
for parking, access roads, hotels and a variety of airport

Lufthansa.
