Berlin
Tegel Airport is Berlin's main airport with over 14.5
million passengers each year. This also makes it Germany's
fourth busiest airport by passenger traffic. The airport
is situated at the town of Tegel on the north western
outskirts of Berlin about six miles from the city centre.
Airlines flying to Berlin Tegel from airports in the United
Kingdom include British Airways and Lufthansa. The opening
of the new Berlin - Brandenburg International Airport
at the location of the current Berlin - Schonefeld Airport
means that Tegel Airport is scheduled for closure in 2012.
The new Brandenburg Airport will taking over the duties
of all three of the current Berlin airports - Tegel, Schonefeld
and Tempelhof.
While the airport remains open, Hertz will continue to
provide a quality car hire service for arriving visitors
to Berlin. The Hertz counter at Tegel Airport is in the
airport's Car Hire Centre which is next to Car Park P2
in front of Terminal D. A full range of vehicles is available
to cater for all travellers' tastes and requirements.

mini-buses for larger parties. More specialized vehicles
